New requirements have been introduced to enhance the KYB verification and approval process at DealShaker.
Each merchant must upload all required documents to their merchant account for the KYB verification process.
Requirements that apply to all merchant types:
If you are a corporate merchant : Business Registration - Registration Certificate, License, Business Permit (for business activities).
If you are a sole proprietorship merchant : One of the following - tax identification number, tax invoice or statement, tax return. Documents certifying the specialization required for a particular business activity - license, diploma, work permit, certificate of qualification.
All uploaded documents (images or scanned PDFs) are timestamped to indicate when the merchant uploaded them. This enhancement streamlines the KYB verification process for admins and ensures that merchant documents are not out of date.
Merchants must upload all required documentation for a specific product, either in image or PDF format, directly to the product's image gallery ( Step 3: Add or edit products )。 Merchants dealing in real estate, automotive goods, jewellery, gold, pharmaceuticals, and branded goods are required to provide specific documentation, such as permits, certificates, distributor agreements, licenses, and authorized authorization documents. These documents must be uploaded as images in the product gallery.
Merchants can make their images private, so they can keep them out of the public. This feature is important because these images can contain personal information, registration numbers, and other sensitive information. Managers and country managers responsible for product approvals have access to this critical information to ensure that all legal requirements are met prior to approval. However, unless the merchant chooses to make it public, this data will be private to the public and buyers.
Merchants can also use this new feature for marketing purposes. You can pre-upload images of your products and share them with customers after approval or when it's appropriate to advertise your products or services.
These new requirements will be mandatory for all newly created businesses and products.
