This initiative visualizes the status of compliance with internal compliance policies and KYB K now Y our B usiness) to ensure that relevant documents are properly submitted and stored. Critical Processes for Maintaining a Secure and Trustworthy Marketplace We ask for your understanding and cooperation.

Target and purpose

  • This applies to all seller accounts that are currently "active" on DealShaker.
  • The purpose is to ensure compliance with internal compliance policies and the status of uploading KYB required documents.
  • The review proceeds in stages, comprehensively checking the submission status, consistency, and up-to-dateness.

Standards for external payment providers and requests for thorough KYB

External payment service provider (Payment Service Provider/ PSP In order to meet the standards of the People's Republic of China, it is essential to ensure that KYB is thoroughly enforced. Failure to comply with PSP compliance requirements may result in the suspension of payment functionality, resulting in a significant impact on the overall operation of the service. In order to protect the continuity of transactions and the reliability of the ecosystem, we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

Schedule and grace period

  • Reviews will start sequentially from "this week".
  • Sellers who lack the required documents will be given a grace period of 30 days to upload.
  • Compliance is confirmed upon completion of the response within 30 days. If this is not done, measures such as functional restrictions may be taken.

What is KYB (Know Your Business)?

KYB is a standard procedure to verify the authenticity, eligibility, and credibility of a seller. In general, the registration information, the de facto controller ( UBO information, identity verification of the representative, traces of business content, location and license certificates, etc. As legal regulations and external PSP requirements become more sophisticated, the tightening of KYB in marketplaces has become an international trend.

What do I want to ask sellers?

  1. Log in to your account and check the edit screen for your seller account registered with dealshaker.com.
  2. Identify if the required documents have been uploaded.
  3. If it is insufficient, prepare the latest documents in clear PDF or scanned data and upload them according to the specified formatting and naming conventions.
  4. After uploading, you will need to request approval again. If you do not apply again, the upload will not be reflected in the system and will be unsubmitted.
  5. After submission, please check the status of reflection and comments from DAD (additional requests, returns, etc.) regularly.

Tips for submission documents (general examples)

  • In the case of corporate registration
    • Personal verification documents of the representative (passport, resident card) ***, driver's license)

    • Certified copy of the register (certificate of all historical matters) ***
  • For personal registration

    • You will also need to submit one of the following documents:
      • Copy on the business registration form (certification from the tax office is required) ***
      • Copy of the first page of the tax return ***

*Utility bills are only available for electricity, water, and gas receipts.

** If your driver's license has already been submitted on your personal verification document, it cannot be used for address verification.

(1) Notification of receipt by e-Tax and electronic application certificate
(2) Confirmation of submission records using the declaration viewing service
(3) Reissuance of business registration receipt due to request for disclosure of retained personal information

Tax Certificate About the use of this service

Cases where you do not need a business registration The following is expected.
(1) Activities that have no business viability : If it is not a business that continuously earns income for commercial purposes, such as temporarily earning income by selling handmade works as a hobby, you do not need to register your business.
(2) Temporary income : In the case of temporary activities that are not considered a business, such as selling unnecessary items to earn money, it is not necessary to submit a business registration notification.

Common deficiencies and workarounds

  • Submission of expired documents → Be sure to check the date of issue and expiration date and prepare the latest ones.
  • Blurred or partially missing image → Re-shot with a resolution that fits up to the four corners to avoid shadows and reflections.
  • Missing UBO information → Declare all relevant parties in accordance with the definition of shareholding ratio and influence.
  • Name mismatch → Exactly match the registered name, trade name, address, etc. with the notation on the system.

Procedure for Preparing Documents

The following instructions are provided on how to re-upload documents.

  1. Log in to your DealShaker.com and open the "Merchant Office".
  2. Select "Account" from the menu and click on the three vertical dots in the upper right corner of the card where the attached name appears.
  3. Select "Edit" from the options that appear.
  4. The Edit Merchant Account screen will open, where you can upload the required documents in the "Provide Merchant Verification Documents" field and fill in the file name.
  5. Finally, click on the "Edit merchant account" button at the bottom of the screen.

Please note that file submissions will be pending until you complete this operation.
